Irene Holmes

Irene Lee Holmes, Active Character

#20502
My Name or Nickname:Lilly
OOC Account:Lilly
Quills Account(s): Free Season Character

NAME: Irene Lee Holmes
CHARACTER TYPE: Witch
DATE OF BIRTH: April 30, 1897
PRIMARY ERA: Expedition Era
BIRTH COUNTRY: United States of America
CURRENT RESIDENCE: New York, New York
OCCUPATION: American Bureau of Magical Affairs- Law Enforcement Officer

What is the concept for your character?
A discharged Texas Ranger who moved to New York City because things took a turn for the worse at home and she needed a change.
What other eras will they be active in and what will their job be in each era?
Marauder Era-Alexandros Flora & Fauna- Thestral Caretaker
What does your character look like?
Irene is a brunette that confidently stands at 5’10”. Her build is lanky and her eyes are a deep earthy brown. She has very little distinguishing traits apart from her thick Texas accent that makes her stand out in a room full of New Yorkers.
Where can we find your character when their story first begins?
Answering a newspaper Ad. Someone is looking for a roommate and so is she. She shows up at Arkady Vasiliev’s doorstep unannounced and without being formally invited.
What does your character think their strongest and weakest traits are?
Strongest traits are her assertiveness, her ability to stay calm under pressure, and her high intelligence makes her intensely focused on the smallest of details. She knows how to aim a rifle and a wand. She can tame a wild bronco but can’t take orders well. She’s impulsive and not the best at following orders given to her.
Who is someone from your characters past who influenced who they are today?
Her father. He taught her how to ride a horse and how to properly duel wield a rifle and a wand. She lost her muggle mother to the yellow fever epidemic and was left without any siblings to keep her company. Her father was everything to her. It was because of him that she joined the Texas Rangers when she became of age.
What is something your character would never tell anyone about themselves?
The real reason as to why she was discharged from service as a Texas Ranger.

Hey there Lilly!

Irene definitely looks interesting! However, before we can get her sorted, there are a couple of things that need adjusting first.

• You have listed Irene to be working at MACUSA as an Auror, however we don't have this as an active business Vault. Could you please choose an employer from the Business Directory

• It appears that Irene is a little too similar to a character belonging to another fandom. As per our guidelines, we request for the name and character details to be changed and/or altered to fit in more with the Vault canon.

After these two things are done, please reply here so that we can get her sorted! :)

Welcome to the Wizarding World, Irene!

As a former Texas ranger, Irene has definitely seen some action in her time - perhaps she will teach the other officers a thing or two. You might like to begin your story in Suddenly, Nargles!, which takes place in Paris, or by using one of the following thread ideas:

★ Muggles are receiving packages containing magical items; it's becoming a real problem for everyone, including Irene who is being put forward to help investigate the source

★ Thestral races are all the rage! But the racing grounds also seem to be the perfect places for shady dealings, meaning Irene may need to go undercover

Before you jump in...
