A Magical Roleplaying Experience

Cori tapped her quill lightly on the table, eyes periodically glancing at a nearby clock. She had collected all that was needed to work on the project and opened up her book to the relevant page. Everything was ready, except for her partner, apparently. To be fair, Cori had started setting up way earlier than they had planned to meet, but now the agreed time had passed and he still was not here.

She wanted nothing more to just start working on the project herself, but she had promised herself that she would not be controlling on it. She couldn't give him that satisfaction when he got here, if he got here.

Gethin couldn't care less. The project was one of the last things on his mind, not to mention he had to work with one of his least favourite people in the world, one Miss Cori Thompson. She was annoying, and frustrating, and got on his nerves constantly. He was sure it was going to be a horrible afternoon of working with her.

He had to get the project done, though, if he wanted to graduate. So, he eventually got up, out of his bed, and wandered down to the common room. "'Sup?" he said, simply, just to get a rise out of her. If nothing else, he could have a bit of fun with the prim and proper girl, if only for his own entertainment.

As she waited, Cori had begun to write mindlessly. She rolled her eyes as she heard one of the people that annoyed her the most approach. "You're late." She folded up the piece of paper that she had been writing on and tucked it into her pocket, not bothering to look up at him. If she could get through this meeting without losing her temper even once, she would consider this a win. And not making eye contact right now was helping her to stay calm.
