A Magical Roleplaying Experience

"Okay, yeah, uhm, thanks," Caitlin mumbled, not quite sure what had just happened here. Though she did notice that she felt significantly more at ease when she saw the back of Umbridge, and she had safely walked away down the corridor.

"Come on, let's go to Charms," she said to Marietta, "how weird is she?" Caitlin then exclaimed, trying to keep her voice down in case Umbridge had superhuman hearing, but also letting out a burst of nervous laughter. "I know we've had a lot of mental Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers, but she must be the most mental!"

Marietta had to bite her lip to keep from breathing a sigh of relief as Umbridge walked away. Who knows what would have happened if the conversation went on any longer? She was glad Umbridge seemed to think well of them. The redhead was sure she and her friend had dodged a bullet.

She also gigged just a little bit in response to Caitlin. She couldn't help it and she hoped it was quiet enough. Umbridge was long gone, so she was sure they were safe.

"I know!" Marietta said. "They get stranger every year. Last year we had a mad man. Before that a werewolf. And now . . . her." She rolled her eyes. "It actually seems to get getting worse!"

She composed herself and then started to walk faster. "Let's hurry. We don't want to be late for class so early in the term."
