Finding his way into new and interesting places, feeding the giant squid in the Great Lake, teasing the ghosts, arguing with his professors.
Favourite Ice-cream Flavour:
Septimus is of average height, rising only to 5’9”, and average build. His dark brunette hair is styled and just long enough to fall into his face. His nose is, according to his brothers, too large for his face and his mouth, according to his sisters, is too thin for his features. Sep, however, is most self conscious about his ears, which his older siblings jokingly refer to as “elephant flaps”. His clothes all reflect his station in life - they are expensive and well made with fine fabrics. He rarely wears hand-me-downs from his older brothers, as his family can afford him the newest styles every year. He carries himself in a manner befitting his upper-middle class upbringing as well - with an effortless confidence bordering on arrogance.
There are three words that define Sep: charismatic, contrary, and defiant. Sep likes a good chat, but he likes a good argument even more. He will often take up the counter position in an argument in order to get his conversation partner to think harder about their own positions. With his easy charm most people don’t take offense to being challenged most of the time. Sep, on the other hand, does. The surest way to get Septimus Silvester to do something is to tell him he can’t. He takes “don’t do that” as a challenge, and “you can’t do that” as a personal affront. His disregard for authority, and preference for his own rules, has caused him a lot of problems at school and at home. Not that Septimus seems to mind - if he isn’t getting a rile out of someone then he isn’t doing it right, in his humble opinion.

Septimu Silvester is the youngest of eight children born in an upper middle class household in Victorian London. His father’s family are members of the class of landed gentry in Wales, and his mother’s side is a wealthy magical merchant family based London. Both sides claim blood purity, though the popular rumor in society is that Sep’s great-great grandfather had been muggle-born.
All Silvester men are in politics. Sep’s father, like his father and grandfather before him, has been active in ministry politics all Sep’s life and plans to make a bid for Minister of Magic in a few years. Since Sep was born it has been expected of him to enter politics like all Silvester men, including his brothers, before him or at the very least join his mother’s family’s business. Sep enrolled in Hogwarts at age 11 with strict instructions to comport himself in the manner of a Silvester man all in preparation of his future political career. Of course, Sep being Sep he took this and ran with it in the complete opposite direction.
