Eyes wide open he felt her lips collapse against his. His hands grasped her shoulders firmly and he pushed so that there would be an arm's length between them. Hands still firmly planted on her shoulders he shook his head vehemently. "I'm sorry, sorry," he murmured in a panicked hush. "Miss Darlington, I can't."
Ava opened her eyes slowly and then licked her lips, "Hmm," She hummed, rolling her shoulders beneath the boys hands. "No apparently you can't. The kiss hadn't been horrible, even if it had only lasted three seconds, but it also hadn't been great. She was almost...disappointed by it.

"Well," She said, taking a step back and moving out of Louis' reach. "I'd best get back or they'll start thinking I raided the liquor cabinet." Ava smiled before turning and striding out of the room. She left her glass on Lidia's desk.
