Updates & Reminders

  • Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us meet our donation goal for September! You can still donate through the end of the month to receive this month's donor reward. Don't forget to check the Club 713 Forum to vote on what next month's reward should be, too!

  • While we appreciate excitement when it comes to assisting others, please leave all Help Desk responses to the Vault 713 staff team or to our Community Ambassadors. This helps us easier identify who still needs assistance and also helps us make sure that all of the answers people are receiving are as accurate as possible.

  • During this time of extreme(!) quantities of characters being created, there may be up to a 24 hour delay on sorting. This is because we have chosen to sort only one or two times a day so that we can do multiple character sheets at once, instead of having to worry about sorting them at several times during the day. Sorting wait times may be shorter after the start of term buzz dies down, and also after we are able to complete some more of our to-do list behind the scenes.

  • Beginning on October 1, 2015, Quills for new players will be introduced twice a month, meaning that most new players (or returning players who did not fill out the survey in August 2015) will need to wait at least two weeks to create their second characters. This will be to help new members get a feel for the site before diving in with a second character, and also to spread out the amount of characters being created at one time to ease the sorting process.

  • Thank you all for your continued patience as we clean up following our big September 1 overhaul! We are still working to clean up many things and get them in order, and your patience is appreciated in the mean time. Please keep an eye on the Bulletin Board for further news and updates throughout the week.

Tip of the Week

Subscribe to forums you play in a lot for notifications when there are new threads or posts! This can be a great way to get notifications when there are new Bulletin Board announcements, News Stand publications, or Call to Arms posts. By accessing your notification settings through the User Control Panel, you can also set email alerts for notifications as well, which can effectively give you mobile alerts on your smartphone if you have an email app on your phone as well!

Question of the Week

Why did your character choose the career they have?
If they could have a different career, what would it be?

There be a Founders bulletin marked this the 22nd of September, and O, I have naught to contribute! Perhaps in the following cycle.

Why did Erikur choose his career? You mean as an acquisitions specialist, of course? His teachers were actually quite surprised at this. After all, he received an Outstanding in his Potions and Herbology N.E.W.T.s, and did quite well in most of his other courses. Surely he was destined for something more? Oh, his professors did try to give some focus to Erikur's life, as he did have quite the reputation as a trouble-maker, bright as he was.

But then, Erikur has always been attracted to shiny things, and much as he smooth-talked his way out of many a detention, he has translated that skill into smooth-talking his way into reposessing a number of valuable artifacts. In fact, it seems that half the fun for Erikur is the charismatic power he has over people, as the prizes he acquires more often than not are simply sent off to Amoud and other buyers.
As for a different career, what other profession could he possibly follow that could involve such verbal charming without such responsibility-laden positions as politics and leadership?
I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.
