Quidditch Director Resigns Amid Chaos
Royston Idlewind, International Director of the Quidditch World Cup program has resigned following the dissimulator fiasco at this year's event, when over a hundred thousand wizards hexed their wands into loud noisemaking instruments in order to sneak them into the game. Rumors of this resignation followed the immediate aftermath of the match, but it was not clear until this past week that the rumors did indeed prove true.
The ICWQC board is currently looking in to locating a replacement International Director before planning for the next world cup event begins.
The Brawling Brass Band
This passing week, a magical brass band has been touring the country to many wizards and witches' delight! However, at a location in West Roland - Quillton - a fight broke out among the performers. Witnesses at the event state that the fight broke out after a foam party caused members of the audience to throw t-shirts into the band - one mistaking it for a hit from the flagon-piper's doing - lashed out. Another witness claims he saw the breeberry getting thrown at the event organiser.
Updates as to whether the band will recover from this are to come.
